History of Cadbury Caramel Chocolate
The product I`ve chosen is Cadbury chocolate Buttons. The product is made from fresh dairy milk chocolate-shaped buttons. I`ve chosen this product as it is an iconic sweet treat that everyone eats, regardless of age. The chocolate buttons were first sold in the UK in 1960. Growing into one of the most popular Cadbury products, it has simple yet adorable packaging and is easy to eat on the go. Even if it`s explicitly targeted towards the younger audience (3-13), adults can easily enjoy this delicious treat as a snack. The packaging is mainly royal purple, with a white background resembling a glass of milk; and the 'Cadbury Dairy Milk' logo at the top of the packet. Above the glass of milk there is milk puddle with brown bubble lettering saying 'Buttons'. With each separate packet displaying one cartoon animal (either a cat, cow, owl, pig, or a monkey) over the milk glass. Shown below, there is a Buttons advert made around 1993; with another dating back to 1980. This emphasises how long ago the product has been around for and shows how popular it is. However, adverts for this product are not shown on TV anymore; as there are other new products that Cadbury would rather promote more. This may be seen in a positive light as it suggests that the product is so renowned that it doesn`t need advertisements for people to know what it is.
